I roasted a pork loin for Easter with just salt, rosemary, and garlic. Pork really is so good simply seasoned.

Everything looks sooo good! Especially the giardinera and chimichurri and olive spread. I've wanted to do a banh mi party for a while. A bunch of meats and Vietnamese pickles and Vietnamese French bread and baguettes and have people assemble their own sandwiches. At least there are two of you! Imagining the work in preparing the food has kept me from doing this.Wandering Chopstickshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04703018765718062460noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1392898498834109106.post-39596858404182190092014-04-09T14:27:09.421-07:002014-04-09T14:27:09.421-07:00We bought those hotel pans at a restaurant supply ...We bought those hotel pans at a restaurant supply store. There are several here and they work pretty much like a regular retail store. It's quite a fun place to shop! =)

I think I would go with pork belly instead of the loin, just because of the fat. We usually just have a rice cooker filled with rice at any party, actually. It's a little inevitable. Unless, of course, we have a very strong philosophical stance on NOT having rice with whatever food/menu we are serving. I dont think i will splurge on a fancy pork but Sam's Club sells a very good bacon pork loin that should take the place of the porchetta. Knowing my family, they would ask for rice though, what do you say when relatives/guest ask you for that? I always feel like a food court serving different taste buds...By the way, whats up with all the restaurant trays, did you guys used to own a restaurant?
